Attorney Marygene K. Donnelly graduated from Fordham University in 1987 and spent the next two years working at Forbes Magazine. In 1992 she received her law degree from Pace University School of Law and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1993. During law school, she worked as a Senior Associate with Pace Environmental Law Review and earned certificates in both International Law and International Trade Law.
During her twenty-five year legal career, Attorney Donnelly has focused on family law. She worked with two prominent Westchester County family law firms before establishing Donnelly Law PLLC in 2018. She raised her own family in Westchester County and is a current member of the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and the Rye Women’s Bar Association.
During her career, Attorney Donnelly has represented clients in complex financial settlements. These include the division of family businesses, the valuing of professional practices, the division of stock options and the assessment of income from a family trust. All financial settlements are made with the client’s tax consequences in mind.
In addition, Attorney Donnelly has negotiated complex custody and access agreements involving parents living out of state, parents living or regularly travelling internationally, as well as parents with unpredictable work schedules. Attorney Donnelly can offer a wealth of experience and advice in crafting a custody and access agreement that works for each client’s individual needs.
